NiK Arcos has been a sound engineer for 35 years, engineering live events in local venues and festivals as well as studio recording.

In 1993 he started studio engineering with Grassroots Audio Zone Music Studios in Cardiff.

Renowned Welsh musicians including the Stereophonics, Manic Street Preachers, and Cerys Matthews have all used this studio in the past, demonstrating its longstanding commitment to nurturing up-and-coming talent, acting as a melting pot for both signed and unsigned artists.

For the next five years, Nik was in Brighton producing soundtracks for film and TV adverts and indie music videos.

Nik worked in Camden, London for 10 years for post production company, Todd.A.O, which became Ascent Media. His role involved creating film trailers, film editing and quality control.

From 2011, Nik was working with Reknaw Sound System, where he DJ’d and sound engineered events all over the UK. He also hosted and engineered Silo SE8 events in the Montague Arms, South East London.

During his time in London, Nik DJ’d on NakedBeatz.com radio, one of the first legal pirate radio stations in South East London. He also ran his first recording studio in Elephant and Castle.

In 2020, Nik moved his studio, Room303 into the Music Complex, where he has been ever since.
